City of Edinburgh Council were asked to list all instances of prayer vigils held by pro-life groups near hospitals or clinics in Edinburgh between 01 January and 31 December 2022

City of Edinburgh Council said:

We have received one notification for the purpose of “Protest against (sic) the 1967 Abortion Act” on 23 April 2022 from 11:00 to 13:00 at “Lothian Road beside Festival Square”..

This appears to have been the annual Pro-Life Chain organised in central Edinburgh. This is not near a hospital or clinic, nor is it a prayer vigil although a picture of the event was misleadingly used by The Times newspaper on 10 May 2022.
