Police Scotland were asked for any reported and documented incidents of harassment, intimidation or public disorder associated with pro-life prayer or vigil groups near Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital or Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The Police searched their STORM system and noted 8 reports between 1 January and 31 December 2021:
- 2 related to mask or social distancing concerns
- 2 related to “shouting” or “offensive placards.” In each of these cases the Police attended and found “all in order” or “no issues were observed by officers“
- 4 reported the presence of a vigil near the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
Police Scotland noted that “all incidents reporting protests/ demonstrations have been included. Whether these could be classed as harassment/ intimidation would be entirely subjective”
