NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have said that they have “no recorded information” and do not monitor prayer vigils held by pro-life groups near hospitals or clinics in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area.
In Freedom of Information response number 17438, released on 29 November 2021, the NHS Board said:
“We are aware that vigils have taken place outside Glasgow Royal Infirmary and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, but we are not routinely notified of these nor do we monitor them. They are held on public thoroughfares so there is no requirement to seek our permission to hold a vigil”
